Farewell, Meridian

I received an email this morning announcing that Meridian, the newest face in Brightwood Park, closed up last night. I hate to see restaurants close, especially one in an underrepresented neighborhood. The restaurant had soul and a unique vibe, but it also had problems from the start.

Oh Yeah, Oyamel

Oyamel, the upscale Mex destination in Penn Quarter, has gone out of its way to help the gluten-free community. The restaurant serves corn tortillas, so you can munch away on the tableside guac without worrying about flour tortilla chips tainting the meal.
