Travel back with me to Charlottesville where all eating seems to be much more mindful.
In this installment, we visit Revolutionary Soup. This tiny underground spot serving……soup in all flavors and textures. In true C’ville fashion, the spot features ingredients sourced from local farms (Polyface chicken sound good to anybody else out there?). When you order [...]

Dispatch from Charlottesville (Part 1)

Zenful Dining: Cityzen in Washington, D.C.
May 3rd, 2008 · 1 Comment · Restaurants, Washington, D.C.
At Cityzen, those with food allergies are treated to dishes that never lack for flavor and adventure. I went in late April and was treated to a meal that was conscious of my restriction, but no less of an experience than a normal diner would enjoy. With a bit of notice, the kitchen puts thought into well-rounded dishes that would never have me missing the gluten.
